Implementing Dynamic Dubbing in Cinema8

In Cinema8, you can offer different language dubbing options to your audience. Let's see how to;

 

 

In this example, we will add 2 language options to video. When the video starts, the language option will be presented to the viewer, after making a selection, the audio file of that language will play and the Choose Language button will be active throughout the video. If the audience wishes, they can change the language by clicking this button.

1-  Create a project with the video you want to add a language option in Cinema8 and open the Editor.

2-  Add two layers and name them according to the audio files you will add.

3-  Now drag and drop the Audio widget in the element panel to the corresponding layer. Click the Upload button in the window and add one of your dubbing audios from your computer.
Name this element from the Properties panel. Set the start time to 00:00:00.000. Unmark the Visible property.

4-  Drag and drop the Audio widget on the element panel to the other corresponding layer. Click the Upload button in the window and add another dubbing audio file from your computer.

Name this element from the Properties panel. Set the start time to 00:00:00.000. Unmark the Visible property.

5-  We need to stop the video while the language options appear on the screen. So, add a new layer. Drag and drop the Action widget in the element panel to this layer. Select Pause Video from the list and save it. Set the Start time to 00:00:00.500 in the Properties panel.

6-  Now let's add two buttons to the beginning of the video for language options. Add two layers and name them according to the buttons you will add.

7-  Drag and drop the Image widget in the element panel to the corresponding layer. Click on the Upload button in the window and add the image that you want to turn into a button from your computer.

Name this element from the Properties panel. You can set the start time to 00:00:00.000 and the end time to 00:00:01.000. This varies depending on your video, but we prefer it to be in the first 1 second.

In order to turn this element into a button, you need to activate the On Click feature. Select Play Audio from the On Click list. In the Target Track list, select the corresponding audio file you have already added.

Click Add New On Click. When viewers click on this button, we also want the video to continue. Select Play Video from the list.

The other language audio must stop while playing this language audio. So, add another On Click feature here. Click Add New On Click. Select Stop Audio from the On Click list. In the Target Track list, select the relevant audio file that you want to stop, which you have already added. Then, save it.

8-  Drag and drop the Image widget in the element panel to the other corresponding layer. Click on the Upload button in the window and add the other language image that you want to turn into a button from your computer.

Name this element from the Properties panel. You can set the start time to 00:00:00.000 and the end time to 00:00:01.000. This varies depending on your video, but we prefer it to be in the first 1 second.

9-  If the video already has its own audio, you should mute it. Add a new layer for this. Add the Action widget in the element panel to this layer. Select Mute from the list and save it. From the Properties panel, set the Start and End time interval throughout the video.

10-  Actually, we have completed. Only when the viewer chooses a language and starts watching the video, they may want to change the language. For this, let's add the Choose Language button that will appear throughout the video.

Open a new layer and add the Image widget to this layer from the Element panel. Click on the Upload button in the window and add the image that you want to turn into a button from your computer.

Name this element from the Properties panel. Set the Start and End time interval throughout the video.

In order to turn this element into a button, you need to activate the On Click feature. Select Jump in This Project from the On Click list. When the viewer clicks on this button, he will go to the menu with language options. You can write here 00:00:00.100 as Action Value.

At the same time, when the viewer clicks on this button, if one of the language audios that you added is active, you have to stop it. So, click Add New On Click. Select Stop Audio from the list. Select one of the language voices as the Target Track.

Click Add New On Click. Select Stop Audio from the list. Select another of the language audio as the Target Track.

Your video is now ready.
